    I have 4ext installed. I am rooted with s-on. Can I flash new roms using 4ext without having s-off?

    You can only install sense roms with s-on. If you want cm9 or any other aosp rim you need s-off with a downgraded hboot.

    The simple answer no s off means open boot loader try doing that without s off your gonna hopefully get an error messege and that's it or your gonna brick your phone you cantbflash a custom recovery image without s off

    Thanks for the FYI on this. I was looking to flash Harmonia as a replacement if the stock, rooted rom didn't perform as expected. Now I know I have to go a step further to get the performance I need.
