    Default emulator

So I'm new here and need some serious help with roms. My phone is the HTC evo v 4g 3d from virgin mobile, my emulator is the "superGNES emulator". My problem is with final fantasy vii. I download the Rom in .bin format, and it doesn't show up on the list of games in the emulator. Second problem is, when I try to access the file from the downloads list on the browser it says the "heap size" isnt enough. That I have like 5073kb and it needs 7075kb. And yes its kb not mb or gb. Needless to say its not working and I've dreamed about playin ft series outside of ny house since I first started playing them like 15 years ago. Help?

Also its the stock software I didn't root or flash or anything like that

You might be using the wrong file. Most NES roms have a .nes file extension.

    Also try NESoid from SlideMe.

Is there a way to view files on the HTC or should I maybe download an app for that? Also in the playstore I can't find the NESoid by SlideMe, I type in NESoid, or NESoid emulator and there's nothing by SlideMe, any ideas? And yeah I know, I'm a bit of a pain, sorry ha

To view files from your sd card use astro or es file explorer.

NESoid is not in the play store anymore, do a Google search of NESoid SlideMe and you'll find it.

Alright, so I got NESoid from SlideMe, is there maybe a better site to download the game from? I was using m.coolrom.com, and the Rom I downloaded still won't do anything and nesoid doesnt even bring it up

I'm such a pain...does it matter that the emulator I have is for the NES, cause final fantasy 7 is on the psone

There is a PSone emulator for android as well, but I am not sure that the One V will have the horsepower to play it.

I love old school games in emulation, but I have to tell you that playing them on a small screen with on-screen controls is not the experience you want it to be.

There are a few FF games in the app store that have been either made for Android or adapted to work directly on Android - they cost some money - but if this game is something you are into - probably worth it:

otherwise if you want those specific games for nostalgia (I hear ya) - I would look into a decent small Bluetooth gamepad.

So I figured if I could get it all figured out for ff7 that it might be a bit choppy, maybe lag some, I downloaded a ps1 emulator from the playstore for like 4 bucks and it never worked. Opened it and it took me to a website that had a bunch of links for centurylink and other cable providers, I was not happy about that ha

Yes using the wrong emulator would be a problem, you could try FPse from the play store and see if that works. It costs like 4 bucks. I've never used it as I'm more of a Nintendo guy myself but it seems to have pretty good reviews.

I'm pretty sure there was a free one that was removed when Sony released their phone but I'm not quite sure. I think it was called psx4droid or something like that.

Here's the latest, I got PSX4droid off a website, then downloaded ff7 from emuparadise, the game won't show up on pax4droid, and if I click on the ff7 file it tries to open with PSD4droid but the error says something about the BIOS file must be selected or something like that, any ideas? Btw all the help is appreciated

You need to download a ps1 bios file because they cannot be legally distributed with the emulator.

Sorry can't link to anything, but a search for ps1 bios in the play store should get you what you are looking for.

It's not a ff7 bios, you need a bios file for the emulator. Search up PlayStation bios, download one like scph7001 or something and point the emulator to it.
