[INFO]LG Optimus Q ROM
This is close to stock but has some minor tweaks for you at the moment. This has bloat removed and is around 80 megs in size. If you want a solid and fast stock ROM here is your thread for the Optimus Q.

REMEMBER! Make a backup in Recovery just in case...
[/INFO]

[NOTE]
To install:

FROM RECOVERY - wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik.

THEN FLASH... If you dont do this you will not boot.

Team Hydro Optimus Q ROM

[/NOTE]

[TIP]ONCE AGAIN, this is ONLY for the Optimus Q.

THANK YOU AND HAPPY FLASHING![/TIP]

Re: [RoM] TEAM HYDRO - LG Optimus Q ROM

Can you please post a link or provide directions to root the LGL55C - optimus Q, as i've seen several posts about people who have root, but so far no one seems to be providing the information on how it was achieved, and i've got 3 phones waiting to get rooted.. seriously bugging me.. stock 2.3.4 sucks.

Thanks in Advance

Re: [RoM] TEAM HYDRO - LG Optimus Q ROM

There is a rooting process in the stickies. You can try that although I have not rooted an Optimus Q

Yes i found the rooting proccess the other day and was able to install your operating system, all was well. After a day of use i noticed a massive increase in battery consumtion. So i deciede to restore the backup i made of the original operating system useing the recovery found here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/vi...raight-talk-optiums-q-lgl55c.html#post1408090

my Phone now seems frozen at The first boot Screen with the LG logo, i've tried holding down the camera with power and all the buttons to get recovery mode to come up.. i've also tried ascessing it from ADB however ADB does not detect the phone :( im at a loss as to why this happened, since prior to installing your operating system i had the original up and running with root.. im not sure if this is even fixable but anything useful would be appreciated. thanks

** ok i may have found a potential reason.. the time stamp on the recovery file i used doesnt match when i made the backup, im thinking maybe.. yea i just did a search of my sdcard and for some reason the recovery failed to ever make a backup.. the recovery files i used was from a previous phone.. great... im certain i watched it make the back up but no dice.. so i guess it makes since now..

it was from the G2.

Did you not make a good backup? Also this is pure stock rom. If anything all u get is better battery life and speeds.

U could always flash this rom again. Its stock and nothing added that would kill ur battery life...

You need to restore your backup.

well yes, i made a backup before i installed the operating system, im 100% positive i watched it go through the backup, when i went to restore the backup i selected the most recent one, i reused the SDCard from my G2 because its a class4 card. the problem with this is that for some reason the recovery didnt save it, i've already searched the entire sdcard there isnt a backup at all on it from the LGL55C. Well im probably gonna have to replace it..

Are you able to flash this ROM now and get it up and running on your phone? If so do a fresh install(wipe) then we could try to trouble shoot what is eating the battery, that would at least getting you a working phone.

Re: [RoM] TEAM HYDRO - LG Optimus Q ROM

sorry, nope. Its stuck permantly at the LG screen, otherwise first thing i would have done would have been to reinstall your the dirty Alpha os. like i said earlier i Cant even get it to show up on "adb devices" computer doesnt notice its pluged in, it just sits there.. no recovery mode.. incase you missed it earlier i accidentally flashed it with a backup made from HTC G2 phone. granted if the recovery had saved it properly this wouldn't have happend... not sure why it didnt save.. wish i knew.. hopefully somone else can help you find the battery issue, atm i dont have a working phone to work with..

That's crazy that it let you flash a different backup. There's only one thing that comes to mind. In the LG Optimus S for Sprint area there's a thread about getting into E-mode you could try figuring out the way to do that and see if you can get recovery back and then go from there. I kind of doubt any of that will help as the G2 has way different partition set up so you'll probably have to get a replacement.

Re: [RoM] TEAM HYDRO - LG Optimus Q ROM

Read my first post, you need to wipe everything from recovery. Then you need to flash the rom and reboot. If you are stuck, try redownloading the rom, wipe everything and flash the rom again....

I had 2 diff users test this for me and I know it works.. your doing something wrong.
