So if the Optimus V and the Optimus Slider have the same specs and proccessor and all that jazz that means I could use a rom that was made for the V and use it on the slider, correct?

Incorrect.

There's much more than specs when it comes to ROMS... f.e. the buttons are mapped differently and so is the touchscreen.

Basically if you want a lovely little brick, go right ahead.

All joking aside, I tried to boot a GSM Wildfire S ROM onto my old CDMA Wildfire S and it got caught in a boot loop...
