Default 5 Reasons to get the Optimus Q over the Galaxy Precedent

Here are 10 reasons why Straight Talk users should choose the LG Optimus Q over the Samsung Galaxy Precedent.
Just as a reference, to make things easier, I will refer to the Samsung Galaxy Precedent as the GP, and the LG Optimus Q as the Q.
    1. Newer Version of Android (Gingerbread) Unlike the Galaxy Precedent, the Optimus Q comes preloaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, unlike the Precedent, which comes with 2.2.2 Froyo. Not only does it come with GB, but it is a near stock build of GB. Sure there may be Gingerbread ROMs for the Precedent, but it's just not the same.

    2. Physical QWERTY KeyboardSay what you will about keyboards on a phone, a lot of people can not live without a keyboard on their phones, and the keyboard on this phone is darn near flawless.

    3. Better Camera The Q has a slightly better camera than the GP. While the GP has a 2 MP camera, the Q has a 3.2 Megapixel camera. It also just takes a much better picture.
    Examples:
    LG Optimus Q:

    Samsung Galaxy Precedent:

    4. More RAM The OQ has a bit more RAM than the GP. The GP has 384 MB of RAM while the OQ has 512 MB of RAM.

    5. Notification Light Finally, the OQ has a built-in notification light, which is great for people (like me) who don't always hear when you get a text.

If I missed any or if you feel like I should have added some other points let me know. I will be doing a full review of both devices soon since AC hasn't done one officially yet.

If the Q is anything like the Slider (and since that Galaxy looks way too much like the Prevail I'm gonna assume the specs are the same too) then the Q is obviously the more powerful device in terms of speed and performance, and isn't the CPU on the Q better anyway? I know it can go up to 800mhz by default, what about the Precedent? Hopefully I contributed somehow.

When you think about it, at the end of the day it really depends on what the buyer is willing to pay. The Q looks more expensive, like I said if it's anything like the Slider then shouldn't it cost like $200? Though I got my slider for $80, it's a great phone at that price, but I still would've never gotten it for $200.. should've been $150 in my honest opinion.

True... I think the question is really L45C (Optimus Net) or Precedent since they're the same price.

Honestly, I love the Q. The Precedent just feels boring lol. I can't believe it's still on Froyo too.

Even the Prevail ended up getting GingerBread!

Idk, thanks to the work of area51 the precedent is well ahead of the Q. The precedent has 2.3.7 now, it has beta builds of cyanogenmod... and eventually it will probably be running ics by way of cm9. The Q on the other hand has only a couple of custom roms. Still stuck at 2.3.4, but ST/Net10 I highly doubt will push any GB updates.

I'm on a real ICS rom right now with my OV, CM9 is pretty awesome. But there's still so much to be done to get it working just right. I say just stick with GB for now
