So I'm trying to get Gelato on my Optimus Slider. I downloaded RomManager. I went to flash Clockworkmod recovery, but the Optimus Slider is not listed. I chose LGE Esteem for the phone model. Is that what I should be choosing?

When I start my phone with vol down, home, power... it just goes to the stock Android Recovery.

Also might be worth mentioning that when I try to backup my phone from ROMmanager, my phone just restarts itself with a brief pic of the android guy and an exclamation mark.

Any help or suggestion of a different custom recovery would be appreciated. thanks

Lol... im REALLY glad you didn't brick your phone doing that. Rom Manager only installs recoveries on a minute amount of devices... and it generally bricks the rest. You should definitely read more before you jump in. Anyways, glad your phones okay.
