Lol... use the info I gave in the thread "so you want to dev kernels" on here. And you'll need linux. The issue is we need a viable repo to build the libs and (I'm assuming) we need to edit the ramdisk to implement the qualcomm data. Ie unbootimg both the stock kernel and the cm7 kernel and hand edit the ramdisk to apply the qualcomm data. I suggest you use rhg's kernel as the base not the one I attempted to edit.

Ok so I installed this rom and the gingerkernal on my optimus slider, and now I cannot receive pictures -_-
I just get a txt message from the number 999-999-9999 with a bunch of gibberish. So the phone must be treating the picture as a txt message and trying to display it...
Not sure why its doing this.

This is a definite deal-breaker for this rom. If this isn't fixed in the 2.0 release, I'm gonna have to switch roms.

It's Q rom, not a Slider rom.. next time check what phone the rom is meant for before posting that it doesn't work, you should've expected problems from the moment you thought of flashing this rom. Have you even swapped the boot.img with one from a Slider rom? Did you tweak the build.prop with the proper edits from the Slider? See if that works, it should work that way if I'm not mistaken, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah you're right LeoLawiet I should have considered that it would not be flawless on the slider.
I actually just switched to the Mobster ROM for the time being. Might try this one again in the future.

Sorry our forums are down. Saki22 (banned from here and our forums) keeps ddos'ing our server. If a moderator catches this id appreciate it if you'd share his ip addresses. I'm going to report this ***** to his isp. All I have is the last address he used on our irc server. This is getting old... I'm sure he's tried to ddos ac's servers as well.

i not *****. and block my isp. that is a treat. i dont take kind to that. your servers went no because me. 403 err that means web failer on there servers . and did not hack that servers. i dont know how to hack. You work at walmart. i find that on the web.

Got a question for ya jcole20.

been searching for a while and for some reason I cant find how to activate the notification toggles that are on the very top of the notification bar...

Im not talking about the program installed on your ROM, Im talking about the one in the picture.... Any idea how to do it? Im stumped for some reason

okay okay i got it running but now when someone sends me a picture message it comes from 9999999 and is all jumbled code and crap, any ideas on whats going on? i looked into it a little but all the fixes are for straight talk phones and want me to change the sms http reciver to the straight talk url. and then i just don't get anything.

Yeah, to the last two posts. This is all built for the Optimus Q... it will run on a slider, but these roms are for the Optimus Q. I'm currently working on a version for the Slider. You'll have to give me awhile though because I'm having to start fresh with a stock Slider Rom. Just give me some time... I was hoping to tweak the Q's build.prop, apnsconfig and the lib files to make it work for everyone, but was left with the same problem (no mms). Meaning I'll just have to start fresh. I believe it's an issue with CarrierIQ's implementation in the Q's rom (where VM has no CarrierIQ.). SO, again, I'm starting fresh and I'll have this out in a bit. It's just taking awhile. I apologize. I just don't own a VM Slider so this is something I can't beta test... All I can do is release my work and hope that it works for you all.

Sorry I've been away... I've had a lot of crap happen. Car accident, business venture, and several interviews I had to take care of. I'm going to try to finish v2.1 soon but it may be my last rom. As far as the slider version I'm going to pass my files off to rhg in hopes that he can finish it. :/

As far as adding a theme to it.... yeah of course. I themed the rom its possible to add a different theme to it.
