Is there a way to disable the camera shutter sound, and how I can I use customized notification tones. I found an app to change ring tones, but I have a custom sound font for my IMs I'd like to use instead of the built in ones.

I have the app root explorer and just went and deleted all the sounds off of my phone.

Disabling the camera shutter sound is illegal in some states, and asking how to disable it is probably against this forums rules.

Turning off your media volume and ringtone will disable your camera shutter sound. At least on the slider it does.

Its just the media but again this is illegal in several states.

Never knew something like that is illegal, odd law.

So, how can I use my own customize ring tones for notifications? I don't want to root my phone, just incase I screw up, any app out there for notification tones?

Its just the media but again this is illegal in several states.

I find laws like that so weird. It's something that's pretty much impossible to enforce.
