Forward / Divert calls???

The downside of cheap service is heading on vacation to an area with zero VM coverage for hundreds of miles.

Is there any way to forward or divert calls to another number (e.g. google voice or another cell phone?)

I'm thinking I may have to port my number to GV and then forward from there. Hopefully can do so without loosing my grandfathered $25 VM plan.

Any other ideas?

VM does not support any kind of call forwarding. You can use Grooveip and google voice to receive calls over wifi. Just let people what your GV number is.

Whatever you do DO NOT PORT TO GOOGLE VOICE.
You will no longer receive mms messages.

As rigger posted use wifi and grooveip give out the Gvoice number and when you get home just have it forward to your phone. You will still have the ability to send and receive mms and have a number that will always work.
