Default Any way to tell if Virgin sold me a used phone?

This may be nothing but it got me wondering. I got connected to a free wifi at a coffee shop. I pressed the Search button (right side physical button). A screen came up with a Google search bar, a keyboard and a query window asking if I wanted to get the history for <someunknownname>@gmail.com. After I pressed cancel I started to wonder if someone else had used the phone before, or maybe it was someone who had been logged in to the wifi or something else. Are there any files or directories I can check for old data? I would probably have to root it, which I haven't done yet but plan to do.

I am suspicious of VM now because I am fairly certain they did sell me a used PayLo voice phone (non-Android). That one has bubbles under the protective film on the outside screen and the stick-on with the serial number is not on straight and looks a bit worn.

Check with the manufacturer to see how much is left on the warranty.

your phone cannot see the search history of other peoples phones or computers on YOUR phone. even if your on the same wifi network.

i think virgin didnt completely refurbish the phone.

if your phone is bone stock and you have NOT done any mods to it (root, rom, recovery) then you can do a factory reset to clear all user data and start fresh.

once you decide to rom and root, never, EVER use that option again.

There is a dialer code (MMI Code) which reveals the amount of data/calls that have been placed but I do not know if VM can wipe it or not. I do not know the short code unfortunately but I do know one exists that works for the OV. Also while using custom ROMs, these codes do not work.
Might be one of these codes (Go to dialer, type code, hit send):
    ##DATA#
    ##RTN#
    ##DEBUG#
    ##PORT#
    #VIRGIN#
