I installed cm7 and go launch ex an now I see horizontal lines across the screen when I'm in the camera and several other menus but not on the home screen. Is there a compatibility issue?

It's something like surface dithering or 64 bit transparency in CyanogenMod settings. Try making sure both of these are unchecked and rebooting. Othetwise, it could've been a bad flash.
