Re: "4G" Coming as early as June
I can't complain. Prior to coming to VM a year ago, I was using a G2 on T-Mobile's network, with speeds peaking around 6-8 mbps. Honestly, you don't really need that much to do anything on a phone. Other than the occasional buffering when watching a video, even VM's 3G is suitable for me, and I use about 5 GB a month.

I don't think any of the current VM phones supports WiMax. The upcoming One V and the Evo 3D might.

Re: "4G" Coming as early as June
Keep in mind there's a hardware issue at work here. To access a given cellular protocol, you need a cell radio(not a radio image, but an actual radio chip) that is built to support it. The OV (and to my knowledge all of VM's other phones as well), lack radios that support either WiMax or LTE. As such, there's no way to get the OV working on 4G regardless of what VM/Sprint does policy-wise.

Re: "4G" Coming as early as June
Last I had heard this was delayed until after New Years, but that could be for LTE on prepaid, at any rate, you will need a new phone as you lack a 4g radio.
Sprint shareholders are not exactly happy at the moment over the decisions made lately so things may be changing at Sprint in a hurry. Some evidence of this could be the recent Boost phone coming with a Sprint label still on it, normally they would have waited for Boost labeled phones. A radical shift in policy could also could explain why the Evo 3d was suddenly dropped without any end of life statement from Sprint.
The next 6-12 months could be very interesting for Sprint pre-paid.

Just great just like virgin to change 25 to 35 plan for grandfathered users. Last year they forced peoples hand with the triumph this year they r using the same tactic but to screw us loyal users who r grandfathered.

Re: "4G" Coming as early as June
Sorry, but how is that screwing you over?
You aren't being forced to upgrade, you can still keep using your OV on the $25 plan.
What do you think grandfathered means, take all you want, however you like? Be happy they didn't force you onto $35 from the start. They have to push people forward somehow and they aren't forcing you to do anything. Even on a contract they can change your pricing every 2 years, in this case, you could go even longer.
