Re: Which phone are you upgrading to (if you are)?
The current Evo V that we is in (a few stores) are actually re-flashed Evo 3d's. The new Virgin branded ones are the exact same, except Virgin's name on them.
It's the exact same phone, so everything will work.

Re: Which phone are you upgrading to (if you are)?
Been reading a lot of reports lately saying the One V could be launching within the next couple of weeks for $200. That'll be an amazing price if true. Way better than the Elite for $50 more and obviously way cheaper than the iPhone.
It's getting hard waiting to upgrade with these new phones coming out. - 06-07-2012, 03:15 PM

Re: Which phone are you upgrading to (if you are)?
I'm honestly convinced now that the Optimus V is the best phone Virgin Mobile has to offer right now, in terms of hacking.
The community, the price, the things this phone has the potential to do, the smoothed out ROMs, I love it.
I paid $100 for my phone, and it was mine right then. No contract.
Now, it's running GB (BACKside 0502) and looks like ICS.
It has amazing battery life, and is rockin' with Beats Audio.
The camera's decent, and has Adobe Flash Player. Soon, a 16GB microSD will come in the mail and I'll have lots of apps (despite the system's 179MB of storage) because of Link2SD.
Love it!
It's a shame this is technically discontinued. I think what I'll do is buy some poor condition Optimus Vs from eBay with bad ESNs just to play around with. There are so many cool ROMs here (CAI, Quattrimus, Harmonia, Bumblebee, and a personal favorite, Harmonious Bumblebee
) that one phone just isn't enough to keep switching.
I love the Optimus V.
However, I heard a rumor that JerryScript got an Optimus Elite. I would so buy one if he did stuff with it!! That's even what I put in the "My Next Device" section of my profile. :3

If the One V is 200$, then certainly that. It's a sleek device with the perfect screen size. If not, I'll get the Evo V if I stay with Virgin. If I leave, then I'll be getting an unlocked GSM Galaxy Nexus and go to T-Mobile. Hell, I might even keep my Optimus V. Going on 2 years with it.

The Optimus V is like that girlfriend you just can't bring yourself to let go of.
