Canada?

Anyone have any luck using a VM USA phone in Canada? Obviously we can't use Virgin towers up there since they are GSM, but if Sprint has CDMA towers in Canada should't we be able to connect to them?

I've been in Canada with my OV and it didn't work.

Might be why it's called Virgin Mobile USA.

CDMA towers only exist in the US.
No tower, no service.

Get GSM or a sat. phone if you travel a lot.

According to this Sprint has CDMA coverage in Canada. That doesn't mean I can connect to their towers, but they're there.

Sprint contracts with other carriers for roaming coverage in Canada (more than likely only phone).
Sprint doesn't own the towers and you don't have roaming.
