The one I bought was through Amazon and yes it's supposed to be cdma. Those others i provided links to.. Well I honestly didn't read the descriptions too closely.
I'm excited it's been shipped already! Just gotta wait for the usps to get it to me!

Re: HTC One V
I doubt the battery will go bad soon enough for that to be an issue, and with the fact that you can hold down the power button (just like on a PC) and it will shut off, no matter what, I wouldn't see it being a problem for me. Seriously considering this phone...maybe...I'm so wishy-washy when it comes to large purchases.

Then you take advantage of your warranty. No harm done.

Re: HTC One V
I'm very disappointed. Amazon just issued a refund with no explanation as to why. Even though a tracking number was issued with a delivery date of 7/31-8/1 I never received the phone.
The seller didn't even respond to my emails.
My only guess is that she realized that she could get more money for it and decided not to sell it to me.
It just irks me how these people can pull this kind of stuff without any accountability whatsoever. Oh well. Guess I'll just buy a new one. - 08-04-2012, 08:28 AM #61

For the record benslgdroid found out you don't even need to root to tether, all you need to do is switch to a third party launcher. All VM did was hide the tether app in the stock sense launcher, thinking that most users are too naive enough to find that out.

I'm loving my one v so far. Htc makes it easy to unlock fastboot and rooting is super easy to do.
I do love the look and feel of sense but quickly grew annoyed with the lack of options with the stock ics.
I'm running cm9 with a sense theme which is well worth the 99 cents I paid for it! The only drawback is that Bluetooth and 720p recording don't work yet but they will soon I'm sure!
I ran cm10 (jb) for a short while last night but it still needs quite a bit of work before it's a daily driver!
