Where are my minutes going?

So i have lately been experiencing some weird phenomena with my minutes disappearing.

Recently i was down to two minutes, so i quit making or taking phone calls for the rest of the month. I checked my minutes the next day and i was over by two minutes. Today i noticed that my virgin mobile minutes widget shows negative 5 minutes. I also confirmed this with my online account.

Does my phone use minutes during application background processes the same way data is sometimes used?

I would like to point out that i haven't checked my voice mail or anything for my minutes to deplete.

No voicemail doesn't count against your minutes. Look on usage @ the Virgin mobile site.

Same here. VM said I used 300 minutes, when I used like 50. I don't talk on the phone. o_o

I reviewed recent calld, showed a bunch of different numbers for like 10 pages. Each call claimed to be 1 minute.

Virgin mobile makes TONS of mistakes. As I posted in a different thread, the VM website says I've used -4,000,000 MB of data

Call them and ask wtf is up. From a different phone, ofc, so you don't burn through more minutes...lol.

I did not mean they are supposed to use minutes. I have some common sense.

google voice + sipdroid = no more minute problems, just use your google voice number to make calls, texts too if you want. ^.^
