Re: Kyocera Rise Hitting VM August 31st
this looks like the perfect phone to finally bury my Optimus V, and even though I have ICS on it, still feels really slow and the screen bump may be minor but at least the Rise has a quicker processor and isn't almost two yr old hardware.

Re: Kyocera Rise Hitting VM August 31st
Damn it
Now im not sure if i should leave Virgin Mobile. I had my mind made up i was leaving and going to t-mobile because i miss having a keyboard phone and the coverage sucks. I went to go to Indiana beach with family this week 90% the time i had no coverage at all while my family with tmobile never got less then 2 bars of coverage.

Re: Kyocera Rise Hitting VM August 31st
I really do think im just going to T-mobile Coverage isnt bad were I live and and I know that I can use it while travleing. (I dont do it that much but still) I used to be on a family plan on T-mobile back in 2008 and never had an issue with them only reason we left them is because At&t tricked us to go with them. Right now I dont even care that I going to have to use this phone() till I can get some more money. I got the Sparq back in June for 2 weeks while i found out what to do for a phone. Its really not a bad phone for being a basic texting phone. Only issue is the tiny keypad. Then Im hopeing this phone(T-Mobile's Galaxy S Blaze Q tipped to become Galaxy S Relay 4G | Android Central) is out by October.

Re: Kyocera Rise Hitting VM August 31st
just got off the phone with vm regarding my elite. ive spent over $200 total in the device counting rarely functioning service, thought they had it resolved but same issues returned plaquing my data on this phone. not sure i want to keep sinking money into it at this point. whether its by continuing to pay my plan, dev donations, whatever. ill keep it until i have enough to make purchase for another device or another device and alternative carrier. wonky beast.

If I was you guys I would get the one v it honestly shocked me.. the screen is so gorgeous compared to the ov.. and the extra .5 inches makes a big difference. I'd ratherhave this phone than any other virgin mobile phone. And the one v and EVO are armv7 so you can play all games, use themes and more. This phone is 160$ thats a steal for a mid range device. The optimus elite and v feel like toys to this

Re: Kyocera Rise Hitting VM August 31st
Yes that phone may be a great phone but when you have a hard time getting coverage in a "good" coverage area and data speeds are up and down then not at all is there really a point? Like I have My optimus and my T-mobile phones sitting here Virgin Mobile 0-1 bars while T-mobile has 3-4 bars (Full). I have had virgin mobile on and off for a long time. Here is a list...
Lg Optimus V
Samsung Intercept
Samsung Mantra
Lg Flare
Samsung Slash
Kyocera TNT
LG Rumor2
(Not in order just what i could think of first)
I think I've spend way to much money on Virign Mobile yes at first they were great never having an issue but the longer i seem to keep them the worst it gets. - 08-18-2012, 06:44 PM #13

I'm jumping ship in a couple days myself. I talked my brother in law into letting me on his Verizon plan. 60 bones a month for 2 gigs, then 10$ a gig after. I bought a slightly uses Charge for 100 $. Gonna mod that baby up and then hello 4g

I've used it. The one v is phenomenal compared to the OV, but I got sick of sense in the time it took me to root it... and I wasn't even using the phone a lot. Sense is one of those end user things that is more complicated to find stuff on than stock android. Im sure I'd get used to it though... I'm really just trying to make myself feel better about not having money to buy one by complaining about it

Re: Kyocera Rise Hitting VM August 31st
something to think about. atleast for me,simple mobile has a pretty nice $40 plan that offers way more than vm $45 plan...phone selection is costly on some models but pretty much any device that meets their service standards should work. gsm phones with sim.
