new to virgin new to the optimus

just bought a used optimus to go to virgin mobile. Mostly to punish Verizon for ending unlimited data. Wondering if it is worth rooting. I rooted my thunderbolt (only way to make it usable.) But just wanted to say hi to my new community.

It is ABSOLUTELY worth rooting, it's amazing how much better the phone is with a nice rom.

If you think it works decent now, just wait.

your going to miss the speeds from verizon.

Rooted it and boy was that easy, now I am having trouble deciding on a good rom. suggestions? looking for something that frees up some r space, I can barely fit facebook and twitter on there as it is.
