Whenever flashing a new ROM or kernel it is always recommended to do a full wipe before and after the flash in order to maintain the integrity of your system. You will find you encounter many fewer issues abiding by a strict wipe/flash/rewipe routine.

The only exception I personally make to this rule is if the developer *specifically* states "this is a no-wipe update"

I agree . . . I have had many less problems when following this method . . . wipe everything.

I also save my SD card contents to my PC, then restore only the Titanium Backup and Downloads folder before restoring apps.
