Apps without Rooting

Imma noobie.....is it possible to install paid apps onto sd card and then from the phone use App installer to in stall them ----without rooting the phone

yes. i use astro file manager to install mine. just check the setting to install third party apps in setting

You can also install apps by emailing them to your Gmail and click the install button next to the attachment, make sure under Settings/Applications that "Unknown Sources" is checked or it won't work from anything, SD card or Gmail.

i literally JUST rooted my phone so I could do this.. and now im reading this thread that you dont need to root.

oh well, now i need to figure out how to overclock, none of the overclocking apps are working

but yea as long as you can find the .apk file for the app, i dont see why you wouldnt be able to install it if you have an app that would let you find the file on the SD card

Have you flashed a custom ROM. The stock ROM is not overclockable.
