There have been many reports of the stock app not working on the V..

There for a modified build had to be made to "mimic" a different phone..
Thus a modified build was made.

HOW TO:
Download the modified build and install & run..
No other modifications to your phone or the .apk are needed

Please report what rom your using if the app works or does not work for you..

Does it actually stream video on a stock rom? I still have Rodimus, the app installs, lets you log in and browse movies but doesn't stream them, get a device not supported error. I only tried on wifi, no 3g signal here.

Same thing on Harmonia. Although after I click ok, it appears to let me login. Need to get me a trial

I got that same message, however I'm still able to sign in with my account and stream.
Plus I'm using wifi..

simple, netflix team is only supporting phones they use at this time (fact)

Hmm, I am running the same rom as the OP of this thread and have used the uploaded .apk and I am also getting the "Netflix is not supported on this device. Please check the Netflix website for a list of supported devices."

First when I opened the Netflix app, it said the device is not supported, so I just clicked ok and it brought me the sign-in which I was able to do. Then when I try and stream it gives me that error again. I am running WiFi at the moment and don't even think it would work on 3G for me so no use in testing using the 3G connection.

I was planning on swapping roms this week anyway so I wiped data and slapped the stock rom back on. Same result, device not supported.

Yeah just went through a bunch of my roms on my sdcard and to no avail. The interface is nice, and seems cool as a queue manager for now, except it is a big app even when moved to the sdcard.

Would be cool to see a screenshot from the OP just to see what the stream looks like.

used "Screenshot IT" to take a screen shot & it keeps crashing my phone while the app is running..
I would love to post a screen shot so any suggestions are welcome~

Record it with a digital camera? Quality won't be the same but it would be nice if you could record going through the movies and streaming them.

I have thought of that however I do not have a cam at all (use the V's for all my shots)..
Ill see if I can borrow one from one of my buds and report back~

However after the crash from the screen shot & after reboot Im no longer able to play the damn thing either!..

Very odd as it was working just fine before trying to do a screen shot but now Im sounding like an azz..
Very upset here~

Going to see what I can do..
Just seems odd as it worked for me but no one else (when it did work)..
I am rooted and have many external players installed..
However Im pretty sure the app it self uses its own player if not the stock video player - Then again I cant remember for the life of me witch player I have as the default video player on my phone..
So that could be the reason why as well..

For now though Im working on finding out the reason why the dang app wont stream anylonger after the crash..
Im guessing it must be another app I had running as a service..

Ill report back after some testings~

That is not true. They are supporting it on devices with certain processors. It would be ******ed to say we aren't going to support it on a device we dont use.

Currently Netflix playback is supported on the following phones:

• HTC Incredible with Android 2.2
• HTC Nexus One with Android 2.2, 2.3
• HTC Evo 4G with Android 2.2
• HTC G2 with Android 2.2
• Samsung Nexus S with Android 2.3

I'm still tweaking on Harmonia 1.3, but if I get a chance, I will try modding the build.prop and see if it will work.

I just tried the xda mod for the droid's posted on androidcentral homepage, because I am running AOSP's 2.3.3 rom- but no luck! Anybody willing to tackle this would be greatly appreciated. Would this be something running a script on boot can help out with, so we can change the buildprop but not mess with the actual rom?
