optimus V wont go into recovery!

so i loaded the AOSPcm7 ROM about a month and a half ago. i want to restore it to factory settings. but for some reason... my phone WONT go into recovery mode!? and when i try to restore is with the "Home>settings>privacy>restore phone" method... it just gets stuck on the LG logo when it reboots. its not working! does anybody know how i can restore my phone!? recovery mode wont even boot!

You, me, and many others did the mistake of restoring from regular phone factory reset. Thats why that happened.

yeah I'm on that boat with you sir :/ mine makes it to a sprint logo lol even tho i'm on virgin mobile XD but i cannot get it to boot into custom recovery

yea you dont ever use the factory restore option on a custom rom. thats a brick waiting to happen

I still don't know why the rom devs don't remove that option. I removed it from all of the roms I flash and there are no adverse effects. For a solution, look at the 20-30+ threads already started about this. Essentially, you'll need to flash your recovery again, and flash a fresh rom.
