Re: OK, so... Vivid Root?
HTC will unlock the bootloader within 30 days of the launch. According to the HTC rep, will probably be within a couple days though.

Re: OK, so... Vivid Root?
Temp root yes, so what happens if you're forced too reboot away from a desktop. You've deleted Samsung's ROM and now the one you've downloaded had list root. Are you starting at a blank screen?
Then what's the average time developers to Getty from temp root to permanent? - 12-16-2011, 01:08 AM #11

Re: OK, so... Vivid Root?
Confused? What, you think that you just open the source code & a magic key to root falls out of your rear? Why don't you read & learn & contribute to the process? As far as I know, only one guy at evil_DevNull is even really risking his device to develop a root/s-off exploit hack.

Re: OK, so... Vivid Root?
I used this tool ([TOOL] HTC Vivid All-In-One Toolkit V2.1 [3-25-2012] [PERM ROOT] [Noob-Proof]) to root my vivid but it did not work. My phone is unlocked but when i try to install rooted apps, it says that the apps do not have root access. The root deleted all my info and i need to restore them. what should i do?
