Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I was trying to make space on my Galaxy S4 and noticed that although they are deleted from my Gallery, camera roll etc, all the photos I have ever sent on WhatsApp have been saved in a folder on the internal memory. Nearly 2000 images and 1GB in size.

Is there a way to stop WhatsApp doing this please? I'm not as bothered about the images I receive as I just delete them or save to another folder but the ones I've sent for 2 years... no thanks!

Welcome back! Those are probably cached thumbnails. You might be able to clear them periodically by going to the App Manager, selecting WhatsApp, and Clearing Cache. You might have to Clear Data as well, but I'm not sure what else might be deleted from the WhatsApp data.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. I've done a 'clear cache' of all apps a few times to make some space so I'll try the data clearout too. I'm about to upgrade this weekend and go back to HTC so I'm not bothered if it loses anything else.
