Will getting an update get rid of root?

Hey first off i would love to thank all of the developers and everyone for their help and support i couldn't root devices without you guys! Now i was wondering if i do a system update will it undo my root I'm running tiamat currently and I need to return the device i just got it 2 weeks ago and i need to they money for the Bionic. Anyway I was wanting to know if i do an update will it unroot the device?

It will most likely just brick it. It may be a soft brick but I would just prob mess it up. Where are you returning it too? They prob wouldn't even go that far to check, you could prob just return it the way it is. Do a system wipe and you should be fine for a return.
