Creating Folders for Apps

Just picked up a new a200. I am totally new to the android platform. Did the OtA update to ICS.

I would like to create folder on my "desktop" to organize apps of different types such a "games" etc, rather than just have apps everywhere.

I opened astro and figured out how to make the folder, I just don't know where in the file structure to create it to get it to show up on the home screen (where the preinstalled apps are)

I realize this isn't very clear and I may now be using the proper geek terminology. But I'd appreciate any help.

Thnks

With ICS, all you have to do is drag any app and place it onto another and the folder is created automatically. Continue to add apps as desired. You can rename it after that.
