Usb Not Reading Flashdrives

Hi All: Ever since i upgraded to ics build number 1.033.00 my a500 wont read my flashdrives or external harddrives which all worked on honeycomb 3.2. Have searched the forums but cant find any similiar problem. Usb cable between computer and tablet still working normal. Have done the factory data and software resets. Have also reformated a couple of my flash drives. Tech support just running me through the same steps after informing me that external harddrives will not work on a500. So am I wrong in thinking that they should work?

Just an update on my problem. Acer support after numerous attempts to solve online told me to send it to repair center as it was still under warranty. Replaced the usb board and now its working fine again reading all my flashdrives plus external hdd's. Had to reload the usb driver to get everything working which i thought strange that it wasn't already loaded. Sent and returned within 4 days. Life is good again.
