I have a acer iconia one 8 tablet and it won't connect to the wifi

When turning on my tablet I click on the wifi button to turn on and nothing happened can anyone help me

Welcome to Android Central! Does the wi-fi radio actually turn on, but it can't connect to a network? Or does the wi-fi radio never turn on at all? That is, does the wi-fi switch remain off, even after trying to turn it on?
