Camera won't let me take pictures

Hi-

I have an Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 running Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, which I am generally very pleased with, except for a camera software problem.

When I launch the camera app it warns me to "Insert SD card before using the camera", I have an SD card inserted, but its formatted as internal storage, so the Camera probably just doesn't recognize it.

Is there a setting that I'm missing here, or is this just some annoying bug?

Check the camera settings to see where it wants to store the photos.
If you told it to write to the SD card before you converted the card to internal storage, you will need to tell it to write to the internal storage since you no longer have external storage.
