So, I rooted my Optimus V last September and I got a Kindle Fire for Christmas. I've decided to root that now and it's a lot more difficult than the Optimus V.

I'm running 6.3 and I have the KF Utility installed along with the proper SDKs but my computer won't do anything with my Kindle. It's weird.

There's just so much information and so many different ways of doing it... help?

Did you install the drivers from the utility? Very important. There is a .bat file for that. Then run the other .bat to root. Works very well.
