Correct me if I'm wrong, but picture and picture mode means that you can have a smaller window on your home screen of YouTube or any other video playback app and multitask to another app when it heads up notification comes in. For example, if I'm watching sling TV on my phone, and I get an incoming text notification, if I click on that message, sling TV automatically goes into picture and picture mode. If I'm watching it YouTube video on my phone, if I check in and coming message on my phone, YouTube video gets automatically paused and it goes straight into my text message. Is that supposed to happen? I'm a little confused lol.

Fr me if I close YouTube while watching a video to use a different app it goes into PIP. I'm not sure about just checking a notification

yeah, If i check any notification while watching Sling TV on my phone, Sling TV app always goes into Picture-in-Picture mode. Not the same with Youtube it's really weird.

It does go into pip mode, and you can resize it with pinch to zoom.

My video didn't capture it, but when looking at the YouTube video in portrait view, I swiped up from the bottom of the screen, and that's what put it into picture in picture mode.

And here's the In Depth Tech Review that demonstrates it.

You can really make the video small, basically the size of 2 icons.

If you're watching YouTube video, and you check in and coming notification, YouTube doesn't automatically go into picture and picture mode and it's not on my phone. Sling TV does but not YouTube. Yeah you can resize the window etc etc I was just curious if anyone else has noticed this at all.

Update: never mind. I just tested picture and picture mode with Google maps. Same thing so oh well I guess that's the way it's designed to be.
