Welcome to the forums.
The down side to non mainstream devices is that the people who discover root methods probably won't spend the time on a device that isn't popular. I tried looking on the net myself and I couldn't find a different root method.

Why do you need root access? Maybe there is a different solution?

Hi there,
yes i agree that it is a problem when its not a mainstream device.
and yes again i also did google n search the web, only to find Roms.
I need root access because as u can c from the specs the internal space is fairly small when compared to other more current n high end phones(which my dad doesnt need)
also there are apps (bloatware) that came 2gether with it constantly hogging the RAM n not to mention space.

Perhaps this will work: Root Android phone, flash custom ROM and manage your Android devices, Rooting Freeware Download - Kingo

Hi once again,
it is confirmed that the rooting process was successful.
Might be a HTC copied phone.
So once again thanks.
Btw would Cyanogen mod work(it it even worth it?)
also what Rom would u personally recommend 4 such a device ?

I would suggest making a backup of your current setup. Once that is done, Cyanogen probably is the better way to go.
