SMS Bug Question...iPhone 4 user (possibly) converting to the Galaxy S3/Incredible 4G LTE

Hello, I recently have become fed up with my iphone 4(love the 5 but not sure if I want one after the trouble I've had). I have gone through 4 replacement phones because the lock button has just stopped working. I was considering getting an android phone on Verizon. However, I remember that on my Incredible on froyo, there was a glitch in which a SMS message would send to the wrong number. Does this glitch still exist in ICS and Jellybean(specifically on goSMS)?
