So I got a generic tablet made by Silicon Valley Peripherals ( SVP - Silicon Valley Peripherals ) for Christmas. It didn't come with instructions or a user manual.

Today I decided to go ahead and encrypt the device. Of course, this can take an hour or two, during which the device may shut down or restart, yadda yadda, you know the drill. I left it plugged in, as the device instructed.
Well, after about 4 hours, it seems to be frozen on a black screen with the green android guy. I'd gone to check on the progress, clicked a button on the pad to activate the screen, plugged my PIN in, and couldn't/can't get past the green android image.
Does it usually take this long to encrypt a tablet, or is my tablet frozen? And if it is frozen, should I re-start it? I know I'll lose all the data, but there's not much on it after only two days anyway.
