Help me kill Picasa out of the Gallery.

I am having a hard time killing Picasa Web Albums in the Gallery.

I have turned off the syncing feature in Accounts as well as cleared the cache in the Application Manager (for Gallery).

When I open the Gallery, the Picasa pictures are gone, but there is a place holder there.

Assuming Jelly Bean (4.1.1) or higher:

First go to Sync and made sure that "Google Photos" is off. There is no setting for Picasa, etc.

Then as follows:
- Settings
- Apps
- All (Downloaded and Running were the only other choice)
- Gallery
- Clear Cache
- Clear Data
