Google Voice - Speakerphone Only?

So I notice that anytime I use Google Voice to listen to voice mail, it always outputs to speakerphone regardless of if it is set to 'via handset' or even if headphones are plugged in. If I toggle speaker on and off it doesn't matter

I haven't had any messages of late that I don't mind having everyone else around me listening to so it's been fine lol, but is anyone else having this problem or know how I can fix it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm using Groove IP and I can use a headset and not have sound come through the N7 speaker.
