    anyone get problems with tracks not appearing in google play music even though the upload client says it has?

    i added an album (20 tracks), the upload client said 20 tracks uploaded/match.
    go to play.google.com and look at the album and there is only 18 tracks there (track 2 and 3 missing).

    any reason/fix??

    Look for something called unknown album, it usually has a grayed out box in place of album art. It's likely the missing songs will be there by track and song title. I spent most of yesterday editing unknown stuff to match about 12 albums that I uploaded by clicking the 3 little dots next to the songs and editing album info. Maybe someone out there knows a less time consuming way to do it.

    where do you see that?
    music manager says all tracks uploaded (even the ones that are missing).

    not sure what's been lost in translation.

    any more suggestions?

    i have a total of 27 tracks that simply won't match or upload.
    the upload client troubleshooter shows no errors either.

    Post screenshots, of music manager after an upload, and your album view on line of that upload....
    And again, this would help. YOU may not think so, but if you're asking for help, and want some, then consider providing requested information.

    what specifically do you want to see with regards to a screenshot of the music manager?
    i can give you a screenshot right now, but it will tell you absolutely nothing, as i have not uploaded anything today.

    if you are talking about a screenshot of the troubleshooting log, then that shows no errors at all.

    the info i provided earlier is still accurate

    there are currently 59 tracks in "untitled folder" that are not showing up, yet the manager says 0 new songs.

    tried uploaded these 58 tracks on a different laptop (with a fresh install of the upload client).

    client says 58 tracks uploaded.
    check the website, no sign of them.
    the "last added" list also doesn't show these tracks.

    just to humour you though, i just tried to upload these 58 tracks using windows 7 and the result was the same.
    the client "says' it is uploading/matching, but once it is complete the tracks are nowhere to be seen.

    have you tried a completely different album or songs as those specific tracks may be a faulty file/mp3? or are they even all mp3s? and not mixed with other music file types?

    out of 4000 tracks uploaded/matched, these 58 simply won't show up (even though the client says it has).
    the tracks are fine.

    have u tried manually uploading the specific tracks through google play music? (i understand that may not be the point as u want the automatic convenience of the play manager, but im just trying to see if its the tracks or what)

    also, on your phone, have you refreshed it within play music?

    There is no manual upload process as far as I can see. It has to be done via the upload client tool.
    And I'm viewing everything on the play website, not on phone (but phone matches what the website shows, ie missing tracks)

    Probably because they're already uploaded. Delete them from the cloud and try again from that other system......

    they are NOT already uploaded.
    i have searched for these missing tracks already in my online library and they are NOT there.
    there is nothing to delete.

    Sorry, thought it was a subset of the 58 that aren't showing up.

    At this point, I'd either suggest creating a new account to try with, give the tracks to a friend to try uploading, or investigate if there's anything unusual about these files that could cause any issues.

    if you upload an album called "my album 1" with a track called "my song 1" in it
    and then you try to upload "my album 2" that also has "my song 1" on it
    it fails to put this track in "my album 2"

    This has caused me loads of grief because i have all the albums for an artist
    and then it screws up the compilation albums or best hits type albums or remastered albums etc

    Probably not your problem but it sure is mine
    why they cant just put a link in so your albums are full i don't know :(
    I would pay for them to do this right but naaaa never happen :( so i cant use the service
