The attached image says it all.
I left home with full battery to go out for a walk, and checked my mail while I was out, on 3G, as I often do. Nothing unusual about that, but a while after I got home I heard the 'low battery' warning beep and I thought it was strange... when I picked up the phone it was really warm, and checking the battery usage shows Gmail has sucked away almost all of the battery in less than 3 hours, for no good reason. Is there any way I can stop this from happening again??
Android 4.0.4, Gmail 4.3.1
Edit: oops, wrong sub-forum...
