    Hi,

I recently bought a Jelly Bean 4.1 "Laptop" with the purpose to use it as a developer station. However the developer options are hidden.

I used the process described here DroidViews | How to Enable Developer Options/USB Debugging Mode on Devices with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to show them in 4.2 version, but it doesn't work. I suppose the vendor disabled it in purpose.

Is there any config file I can chage to enable system options? Do I have to root the device to do so?

    Thanks,
