So the recent update for Google Now introduced the new feature that gives you cards when a "website" updates, much like RSS. Trouble is, I can't find where to activate this, change settings, or specify what websites to watch etc, I can only find news reports of such a feature. Or is this only for 4.4 KK?

Doesn't seem to be a 4.4 only thing as I'm on it and can't figure out how to turn it on either. My guess is that they havent enabled it server side yet. The google help site mentioned resetting sync via the dashboard. But that is mainly if you use a custom passphrase. I reset it anyways just to try. Will see if that helps.

Doing that worked for me only it started with a couple of android blogs that aren't Android Central aka the best dammed android blog on planet earth.

I've started getting the cards, though I haven't figured out how it chooses the websites yet. I read five webcomics, for example, and it only alerts me for two of them.

I find distill.io better in terms of functionality compared to google cards.
