I want to access a marines website but it is asking me for a credential storage password, I do not know/remember setting up a password for that, how can I disable that pop-up? I cannot clear credentials as it is grayed out, I cannot install certificates, I just want to get rid of that menu..Help!!!

Did you find a solution? I have the same problem with my unlocked HTC One M8. When I press VPN, it wants a credential password. I've tried a couple of passwords, but now am down to two more tries.

I went on live HTC support. They tell me it is a carrier issue. I will ask them to look at the phone when I'm next in a T-Mobile store.

Found the answer in another thread in this forum. Just add a screen pin and you are not challenged by the credential storage password. Hope that helps you.
