Galaxy SIII freezing problem/4.3 update

I was a little late in getting the news about the 4.3 update, but I managed to find the official statement released a while back.

This screen freezing is absolutely debilitating. I had problems immediately after the update a month ago, but nothing like the last 2 days, where I had to periodically manually remove the battery or do the home + power button reset. I also have other minor problems and I hate this update in general for changing the format of some of the apps and stuff I liked, but this is the first major problem I've encountered besides lag.

I admittedly am not very handy with smartphones,....I hear that doing a factory reset can potentially fix some things,....has this been proven?

Don't think I have seen you around before; Welcome to the forums!

I would counter suggest clearing cache in recovery. Might fix the issue like a reset might, but you won't lose personal data or have to set up your device again.
