I've dealt with this problem for far too long. I need your help!
When I use the texting feature (Messages) on my Android phone there is a problem where the picture icons (that display my friends/family's photos next to their message thread) won't always display. They don't display about half of the time. What displays in its place is the stock placeholder gray figure silhouette. This is really annoying and has been occurring for the past two years. What I normally do to (temporarily) resolve it is to double tap the home icon and remove all running Apps by swiping them off the screen. This fix lasts a very short amount of time before the problem reoccurs.
I would prefer a fix that didn't require me to upgrade to a newer version of Android. I don't appreciate how Google has now incorporated Messages and Email. I like the two being separate.
Why is this occurring and how can I fix this issue? Thanks for any and all assistance!
