Apps requesting swipe gesture password

A friend of mine has a Samsung device with Android 4.4.2

He opened Facebook then it prompted him to protect his device with a swipe gesture so he made one.

now every app he opens is asking him for that swipe password everytime

he wants to cancel this whole thing and doesn't want any pass/gesture lock on any app. I checked his phone and he doesn't have any app for locking apps or so...

You might check if Facebook has installed itself as a Phone/Device Administrator. If it did, deactivate it. If that doesn't work, factory reset the phone. Back up all data first.
