Hi all,

My google search bar mic icon goes to an empty mic from times to times. It does that on both my N10 and N5. Anyone knows what it means?

I use both devices in Quebec Canada. My phone is setup as english US.

Thanks, but why is it deactivated? It worked before. Now even in Now itself it doesn't work. Don't tell me it is another U.S. only thing!?! Those are getting annoying.

The Nexus 10 does not currently have the "Ok Google" feature.

@ chud: Mine is empty because I turned off the hotword feature in my Nexus 5. See if yours got turned off. Settings/Language & input/Voice Search/ Hotword detection.

I had recently changed my voice settings to "English (Canada)" , then realized after my kitkat update, my "OK Google" was no longer working. After switching my voice language back to "English (US)" my "Ok Google" function resumed. Hope that works for you too

Since my reboot, I didn't lost the full mic yet. But my voice settings are "automatic". I don't know how it determines the language, but I am English (US) everywhere else. I'll keep your suggestion in mind.
