I was going through the developer menu on my Nexus Devices (Android 4.4.2) and just noticed a menu called "Process Stats". Is that new or have I missed it up to now? it shows programs that have been using background processes and gives a really good understanding of what's killing the phone, though I can't read it.

    Anyone have any insights?

Yes, the Process Stats feature was introduced in the 4.4 Kitkat update. It shows you performance and usage stats of all your background, foreground and cached processes.
It's more for the geeky-type people which is why it's in developer options.

It's an interesting utility. Facebook is listed at the top on mine and I have all notifications turned off.

That's why I uninstalled it. If you get Permission Manager, you can see what it's been doing. ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...appopslauncher )
