Hello,
I've recently updated to android kitkat on my Samsung galaxy s4 SGH-I337M and suddenly my Wifi stopped switching on. I would like to know how to fix this or if I could downgrade the OS to 4.3 or 4.2.2

I would suggest a Factory Reset and then update..don't install anything just test. If the Factory Reset brings you back to the latest image (theoretically it should) try to adjust the WiFi.

Failing that, install AutoMateIt and make a rule 'when phone on turn WiFi on' and see if the WiFi is then accessible. This may be an annoying work around.

I tried the Factory Reset 2 times and it doesn't work.
I'll try installing the AutoMateit.
How about downgrading? Is there a way?

EDIT: Tried the app, it didn't work

How can I safely do that?

I don't think you could safely root a phone, there are always risks. As for how, do some research as each device is different. Make sure you backup everything you need, and pay attention to phone model, software version etc. As you're probably aware there are a lot of risks associated with rooting and I cannot guarantee that this will even help.

Have you tried researching this issue specifically for your phone type?
