4.4.3 update bug

Hi I have a Google Nexus 4. I got the 4.4.3 update today morning, around 12 hours ago. I own the phone for more than a year, haven't dropped the phone or damaged it in anyway lately. After today's update, in around 9 hours, the navigation keys on the screen stopped working suddenly. After a few minutes they started working again. Then the phone screen started typing stuff on its own (even the navigation keys). I switched the phone off for a while. Now the phone is stable again but the navigation keys dont work. There is no black or yellow spot on the screen. Is it a software bug? I dont know how to proceed. Please help.

Clean your screen first. There's a small chance that a contaminant is just confusing the capacitive sensor, and you should make sure that isn't the problem before you start with the more hardcore remedies.
