What does the arrow symbol mean 7 app manager?

Hello,

Sometimes a blue and white arrow is superimposed on the TripAdvisor app icon in application manager.

What does it indicate?

I would like to know since this app sometimes disappears unexpectedly from the desktop and I can not start the program. (I have not deactivated it.)

Has it been moved to SD card?

App was never moved to external card. The TripAdvisor app doesn't allow that. Now the arrow is "mysteriously" gone.

Could it mean that it is on your Homescreen. Like on a P.C.. Letting you know that it is on your desktop?

Yes it looks like Windows shortcut icon. But I can't see how that would work. I have many other apps oh the Home screen that do not show this arrow. The arrow also showed itself when there was no shortcut to it on the Home screen.
