Is there a setting to tell Google or my phone that I don't want it to offer to send a text to a contact number type of home?

When I voice command send a text to Joe or whoever, and that contact has home and mobile numbers, it asks me which number. Well home numbers can't receive SMS so duh, the mobile I guess.

I know everyone uses mobiles at home now but if if a contact has mobile specified, I don't want it to ask me what number to text. This is something Siri always got right!

Actually... some home numbers can. And in an age that landlines are quickly disappearing, a lot of people have mobile 'home' numbers.

That being said, nope, there's no way to 'ignore' a number when using voice commands to text someone. You can, however, state it from the beginning and avoid the follow up question.
